Urinary Tract Infection

Overview

Any infection that affects any region of the urinary system, most commonly the bladder and urethra, is referred to as a urinary tract infection (UTI). The symptoms include burning when urinating, hazy or strongly scented urine, pelvic pain, and occasionally blood in the pee. Antibiotics are used to treat UTIs, which are typically brought on by bacteria like E. coli. UTIs can be avoided by practicing proper cleanliness and drinking.

Symptoms

A urinary tract infection’s (UTI) signs and symptoms include:
  • Urge to urinate frequently: A continuous need to urinate, frequently with little volumes of urine.
  • Burning sensation: Anguish or pain during urinating.
  • pee that appears red, pink, or cola-colored; pee that is cloudy or bloody.
  • Urine with an offensive scent: Urine with an offensive smell.
  • Pain in the lower abdomen or pelvic region is referred to as pelvic pain.
  • Generalized pressure or discomfort in the lower abdomen.
